Visit to Copped Hall, Epping The Friends of the Minories Saturday 30 May 2020

Visit to Copped Hall, the beautiful 18th century house which stands proudly on the right of the M25 as it wends its way northwards around London. The house was gutted by a terrible fire in 1917 and, although the owners intended to restored it, they didn't and by the time of WW2, it was totally stripped of anything of value. It was eventually saved by the Corporation of London and a trust was set up with the purpose of saving the building and bringing it back to life. Now a lot of work has been done and this is a chance to see that progress. A special visit not to be missed.
